Could I wear a dress shirt with french cuffs and cufflinks but no tie?

I like to take my tie off at the end of my workday, but I sometimes do cufflinks with my dress shirts--do I look silly with such a formal look but no tie?

    just loosen your tie, and open the top button
    you might look like a D bag if you walk around with fancy french cuffs and your shirt open and no tie..

    it depends on how the shirt is
    try stripes
