Is this a good idea for my boyfriends christmas gift?

ive been thinking a bit early about what to get my boyfriend for christmas. Ive seen a nice watch that i think he would like and i was thinking of getting in engraved with the date we first started going out. do you think this is a nice idea?
i was also thinking of getting some cuff links and a shaving set to go with?
p.s, he's 20 and we've been together nearly a year

    This is a great idea. The right choice of presents. My friend got a bracelet with the date he and his girlfriend first started going out and he loved it!! Its always a good way to remember people aswell, even years down the line!!

    The watch is a good idea but don’t put the date on it that you got together. This will just make it bad for him to wear when you split up and will also affect the resale value.

    I think it’s a really good idea except dont engrave it saying the day you first started going out because in case you ever brake up he won’t like it any more. Make it say his name or something
