Presents for Koumbaria?

Yeia sas,

Can you all tell me about what presents you've been given as Koumbari or what your friends or relatives have given or received?

I am trying to think of a good present for our male and female koumbaroi because everyone has like 5 watches and 5 gold cross chains, and things. I thought of cuff links, but my partner says that they would never wear them. Maybe once again in their life.

What would you want? Or what present did you think was really special?

Efkaristw!!

    Agreed with the first poster.
Decide the amount of money you are willing to spend and ask them what they wish to receive.

It is the safest way to do it.

    We got/gave
    pearl colliers
    silver greek style carved
    mangali
    holy icon

You should really ask your koumbara/koumbaro - this is not unusual.. or for example we said to my sons godmother… take whatever you want for 1000 Euro… she choose something and we took it with us to the church - better let them tell you…

My coumbaroi gave me a printer. Really useful for me!

I’ve been given a gold bracelet and an exquisite lamp made of porcelain and Egyptian papyrus. Nice gifts but I don’t use them. I’d rather have a silver ring or a coral bracelet.
Ask your coumbaroi first. They’ll appreciate it.
